Chinese New Year - Slanted Tree Pearls
Chinese New Year (Chinese: 春節, 春节, Chūnjíe; 農曆新年, 农历新年, Nónglì Xīnnián; or 過年, 过年, Guònián), also known as the Lunar New Year or the Spring Festival is the most important of the traditional Chinese holidays. This year is the year of the rabbit and it falls on 3 February 2011. What year were you born in the Chinese zodiac calendar? To find out more, please check it out here.
The Chinese New Year starts with the New Moon on the first day of the new year and ends on the full moon 15 days later. The 15th day of the new year is called the Lantern Festival, which is celebrated at night with lantern displays and children carrying lanterns in a parade.
With the holiday coming up, I've made a few chinese new year cards by using this slanted tree from Hero Arts.
I've put some glitters on the flowers and used pearl pen on the edges of the card.
