New King and Queen

Hello Everyone! You might probably have heard about the big news that The Netherlands has a King now.  For 132 years long, the Netherlands was in the monarchy of 3 generations of queens and yesterday, the queen passed her throne to her son.

Every year, the dutch celebrates the queen's day on the 30 April but from next year onward it will be King's Day on the 27th April. Yes, all of us had to get use to the word "King".  My dear husband has been waiting for more than 40 years for this day as his birthday falls on the same day as the King!

Here is mother queen (middle), King Willem Alexander (left) and Queen Maxima (right) at the balcony!

I love her dress!

Enough of the dutch royalty and back to card business.

My first stamp from MFT and can't wait to play with this month's challenge over at MFT with the theme "Scene Building".  My card was inspired by Cindy.

Have a great day!

Wow, Lai-Yoke--this is incredible! So many details done perfectly--adorable Spring card! How fun to have all the pomp & splendor with a new King. They look like a lovely couple & I love her dress, too.

I read the news about your Royal Family yesterday Lai-Yoke, it is so nice that the Queen is giving her son the opportunity to be Kind whilst he is still young enough to enjoy the role. I so wish our Queen would so the same !

Nearly forgot your lovely card, it's so pretty and full of summertime. And we have had sunshine today all day long.
