PDCC #170

Hello to all! It has been quite a while since my last post as the kids were having their winter break last week. We spent our holiday together with my DH who is stationed at the northeast of Holland for his work and only comes home in the weekend.

Today's card is a combination of colour hallenge from The Play Date Cafe which is ending in 15 hour's time and sketch challenge from Lucy's Card.  I am also linking this card to Shopping Our Stash.

There are quite number of machine stitched today as I am always amazed by Lucy's neat stitches. The background stamp and the sentiments on the yellow panel are both from HA. A satin ribbon and a twine is added onto the tag.  Like the sketch?  There are two other sketches which you might like, do pop over to check it out.

Whilst we were at Groningen, Northeast of Holland we visited some villages and a creche for the injured seals.  You could read more about the seal creche here.

All these seals were rescued from the sea as they are too sick or too young to take care of themselves and needed to be nursed before they could go back into the sea.

At the far end of the photo where the brown seal is, there is a heating element above it to keep the baby seals warm.

Despite being sick, he is still able to do some acrobat!

 They look sad!

At this village, they are famous for it's "hanging" kitchen above the water.

Thank you for spending some of your time to drop by!

We have actually been to the place where those rooms hang over the water Lai-Yoke, some time ago now but it was interesting.

And what lovely pictures of the seals, they always looks such happy creatures.

A very elegant card as well.

Love the blue and white of your pretty card, Lai-Yoke! And, I love all the photos you shared; the seals are, indeed, sad looking. The overhanging rooms from the houses are very interesting.
