De Hoge Veluwe - Nature Reserve Park

Last Saturday, we drove to a Nature Reserve Park which was about 1,5 hours drive from our house.

The park covers 5,400 hectares of woodland, heathland, peat bogs and drift sand. It enjoys a wide variety of plants and animals and provides habitats to extremely rare Red List species.

A white bicycle is provided for every paid individual.  The weather was so lovely but the wind was still chilly and we still had to put on our winter jackets despite the sunshines!  There were several bicycle routes which could choose from and we chose one which is about 16km.  While we were cycling, we were expecting to see some animals but to our dissappointment we did not encounter any!  To me the park seems like a bicycle safari to me but without animals!!  Anyway, we had a fun and relaxing day!

On Sunday, the weather remained as beautiful and even slightly warmer and we made another cycling tour of 25km in our surrounding.
