CASology #150

Here is a quick card which I made for my niece who passed her exam.  The background is stamped randomly with Lawn Fawn set.  I wanted an adorable graduation card therefore I chose this giraffe from Avery Elle.  Finished off with the hat from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is in dutch and it means "congratulations".

I am popping this into CASology challenge.

Thanks for dropping by!

Lawnscaping Challenge #102

When I saw the "magical" distressing done by Laura Bassen I just had to try it out myself.  The first trial did not turned out well but I am so happy with the second attempt.  The colours which I chose are the colour challenge from Make the Day Special.

As for the mini penguins they are from the Lawn Fawn Critters in the Snow and I had to add one with a glasses!  The border stitched is also from Lawn Fawn.  I am also popping this into Uniko Studio challenge.

It's a working day tomorrow and I am planning to cycle to work!  Enjoy the rest of your day!

AEIHeart U #15

Happy Sunday to all! My daughter, Claire and I would like thank all of your sweet wishes for her 14th birthday.

A friend of mine needed a new home card and immediately I thought of using the Avery Elle Fill-in-the-Blank die cut.  The die cut is cut into several colours which I used the colour challenge from Colour Throwdown.  As I wanted some skyline onto the card, I stacked up a few of the houses into a high rise building accompanied by some colourful houses.  The background embossing is from SU.

The sentiment is die cut several times in orange and top up with white to give an orange shade to the whole.

Have a great Sunday!

AEI Heart Challenge #10

A new challenge at AEI Heart U for this week has caught my eyes  - GOLD!  I am going to try something new today which is a mixing of embossing powder on the same image.

I used the Let It Snow set which is first heat embossed in black and followed by gold.  The mix turned out nicely.  The sentiment is from Fill in Icon and Fill in the Blanks.  Lastly, I added some gold sequins.

Thanks so much for dropping by!

AEI Heart U Challenge #9

I am going monochromatic today for this AEI Heart U Challenge.  Today's challenge is to create your own designer paper.

First, I drew the shape of a tree and used the negative cut.  I stamped the sentiment from Avery Fill in the Blank in the tree.  I also attached a die cut from a memory box tree but only used the tree trunk for the support.  Made a mini-shaker heart-shaped from Avery Fill-in the Icon set.

AEIU #8 and CMCC#22

Thank you for all your kind concerns and well wishes. My foot feels a little bit better today although it could have been better as I did move around more and less using the icepack.  Hmmm....the icepack is on my foot at the moment while blogging.....

I am running out of masculine cards and these challenges just came in on time to stock them up again.

Today, I am going graphic.  I got this arrow die cut from SU which has been die cut several times.  This time I am using the negative layer and adhered a cardstock below with some colourings.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle Fill in the Blanks set.

I am also entering this card into Simon Wednesday Challenge.

The arrow die cuts are coloured and adhered on the inner card.

Thanks for dropping by and have a crafty day!

CMSS #14

Yay!  It's Friday.  Today, I had time to make another card for AEI Heart U Challenge combining the colour challenge from Colour Me Card Challenge.

This card I used all the die cuts from Avery Elle Icon Fill In the Blank by using the sketch challenge from CAS (E) this Sketch. I am also entering this card into a new challenge The Time Out Challenge.  I feel good when I am able to combine as many challenges as possible.

First, I arranged all the icons on position and used the negative die cuts and added the burlap heartshape..  On a separate piece of cardstock, I watercoloured it with blue and yellow. Adhered the top layer and stamped the sentiment.

AEI #4

One more day and it's weekend.   Do you have any plan for this weekend?  As for me, I need to catch up with my beauty sleep as I feel so tired and also with tons of ironing that needed to be done!

Today, I am sharing a card at AEI Heart U Watercolour Challenge.  I stamped the set Let It Snow and heat embossed in white and water colour it.  The little house is from the set Icon Fill In the Blank and a burlap is adhered onto the cardstock.  The edges are paperpieced.

Enjoy your evening!

AEIHeartU Challenge #2

This morning started with a hazy day but as the day gets towards the afternoon, the sunshines.

I am making a card for a blog friend whom I have not heard for quite sometime already.  The background is stamped in several colours with MFT Abstract Art. I wanted a background print on the tag and decided to use with AE set Let It Snow. The smaller piece of the cardstock is stamped with AE What's Up and Fill In the Blank Clear.  Finished off with some sequins and a twine on the tag.

I had to take a close-up of this glittered heart!

I don't know why I have been baking a lot recently and this is my second attempt on the banana chocolate muffins which I got the recipe from here.  We are all very happy with the end result.....

Thank you for taking time to visit me and enjoy your weekend!

Fab Friday #32

Hope you are enjoying your weekend or had a good weekend depending which part of the world you are. As for me, I am so glad that finally, I sent out all the international and european christmas cards already.  I need to finish all my local cards by this week as we are flying off next week already.

Today, I have a card to share with the colour challenge from Fab Friday Challenge.  I am still loving the hippo from Avery set and the useful santa hat from Lawn Fawn.  This hat simply fits onto almost all the images.

I got something new stamp from Reverse Confetti too which is the stripey set.  Love it!  The sentiment is from MFT.  A glittered paper is added on the side of the front panel.  Did some machine-stitched too.

Thank you for dropping by!

Avery Elle Nov Challenge

I had to play with Avery Elle challenge one more time because a friend whom I got to know via blogland just got a baby boy.

A couple of months ago, when I asked her when was the expected delivery date, she mentioned that it will be mid-November.  I teased her that who knows that it might be on my birthday but she brushed it off!  Goodness!  When I received her baby announcement card, the baby was borned on November 20th!  How coincidence is that!

As I do not own any baby's stamp, I thought why not use this cute little fella to make it into a baby card.  I know that she loves kraft and adorable images so I decided to make this card for her.

Wa-lah!  Love how it turned out! Pretty direct card to make.  The only fun thing that I did here was the sentiment heat embossed in 3 different sizes of clouds.

here is how I made the cloud sentiment

Recently, I won a gift card of $25 from Craft Junction but unfortunately I did not see anything that I like so much and above that the international shipping cost is equivalent to my gift card amount!  If anyone who is interested to buy from me (which I am hoping), please let me know.  You could visit their store here www.craftjunction.com

Have a lovely weekend!

Avery Elle November Challenge

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrates it.

I wanted to use this hipster-potamus and decided to make a christmas card as I still need a lot of cards.  I stamped the image on a patterned paper and paper-pieced it.  The santa hat is from Lawn Fawn which fits nicely on the hippo's head!  The background snowflakes and sentiment are from HA which are heat embossed glittered white and black respectively.  I am also entering this into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

The weather is very grey over here which affected my photo taking.  Sorry! Folks!
