PB and More

Temperature is dropping to 4 degrees celcius and we have wet snow and hail since yesterday.

This easel gift box is for a colleague.  The forest stencil is from Clear Scraps which I distressed in TH inks.  It was rather difficult to distress as the stencil is rather flimsy and it took a little bit extra time to work on it.

Lots of diecuts for this project : The frame diecut is from MFT; the Santa Claus and the reindeers die cut is from IO; sentiment is from Poppy Stamp and the side baubles are from Wild Rose Studio.

I added TH clear rock candy on the Santa & reindeers and the sentiments.

Colour Me #68

Today, I am not making a card but an easel post-it card. Using the colour inspiration from Colour Me Card and a game from AAA Cards "Hole".

I am not so much of a patterned paper person but I am trying to use more of them.  Recently, I bought two stacks of patterned papers and they are of a big help with my projects.


Behind the circle, I adhered a piece of vellum paper which is stamped in white with RC Very Stripey.  The flower is from PTI Folks Arts.

We are having a long weekend as it's Kings Day tomorrow and it's my DH birthday too.  His families are coming over this afternoon and staying for dinner. I have been busy preparing food and needed a break to do something else...

Butterfly Easel Card

For this month's challenge at Hero Arts, I've chosen the shaped card combined with sunshine theme.  The background of the easel card is distressed in mustard seed, wild honey, barn door and worn lipstick which is my interpretation of sunshine. A very slim border is left un-distressed (does this word exist?) to create a white border.  For this card, I used Flower Bursts Pattern which is stamped in festive berries.  Finished the front card with some punched flowers in kraft and the matching orange and yellow buttons.

As for the inside of the card, I used the negative of the die which is also distressed with the same colours and added two yellow buttons on the side.  The sentiment is from Verve Stamp.

HA Scramble # 26

Made this card for last week's Hero Arts Scramble and decided to use the Hero Art's sketch too.  Used acetate for the background and stamped with HA Snowflakes in Staz On white.  Sprinkle some glitters on the border.

New Home

Thank you blogger that I'm able to upload the pictures again....

A friend mine who has been living here for 5 years will be moving to UK whereby she will settle down with her english husband and their 2 year old son.  Although I am caught with a bug flu this week,  I had to meet her for the last time which I've no regret although I was very tired with lots of body ache and headache thereafter.

I made this card last week already (thank goodness as I was too tired to make any this week).  I wish her all the best in her new country home and wish her well in her transition period.

This is an easel card and the stamp is from HA Home.  The door is stamped on a white and bordeaux cardstock.  I put a cellephone tape on the window of the white door to give a glass effect and paperpieced the bordeaux on the white door.  I also put their house number and applied glossy accent on the door.  Once the door is opened, I stamped the word "Hello"!

Easel Musical Card

This week at the Embellish Magazine's challenge requires you to create a paper craft project using the color challenge and music and at Charisma Cardz's challenge is Easel Card.  This is what I've come up for this challenge.

I've stamped all four panels with musical notes from HA and white embossed them.  Both sentiments are from Inkadinkado which are also white embossed on the black cardstock.  The front sentiment along the scallop edges is highlighted with a white gel pen. 

I've also made a matching envelope with it.  Using the music notes in the colour theme, I've stamped the front of the envelope along the side leaving enough space to write the address.

Easel card - Starbust Lace

Inspired by Jill Foster's design from, I've used the starbust lace stamp for this easel card.  I used white embossing powder on the starbust lace stamp and masked it, and the french writing is embossed with clear powder.

The inside of the card is stamped with a message which reads "Congratulations on Your Birthday" and using Starbust Lace as a background with plum ink.
