Colour Me - Monochromatic

Yay! It's Friday and I worked today with the grade one as the assistant had a off day.  When the reception students saw me at the corridor - they were surprised but at the same time kept on calling me! They are just so adorable....

I am into the spellbinder dies lately and ordered a couple recently.  Here are my latest Captivating Squares and Card Creator Diamond Effects.

I am using the colour challenge from Colour Me challenge and using the font/ sentiment focus from Verve Stamps challenge.  I chose this sentiment for this card as I was inspired by the challenge over at Time Out Challenges with the theme "Time Flies, Love Lasts".... !

Have a great weekend!

Verve Challenge - Chevron Chic

Kind of like the idea of chevron chic and decided to take the inspiration from the photo.

The chevron stamp is from HA and the sentiment set is from Verve Wishing You.

Wedding Card

This card is specially made for one of the DTs of PB, Cathy Fong who is getting married this week.

I know that she is into the cute, adorable and sweet stamps but I do not have many of them and decided to use the Edge Laced to make a wedding card for her.  The Edge Laced is stamped twice randomly towards the lower corner of the card and heat embossed with my new embossing powder Silver Pearl.  Love how the velvet look turned out on the cardstock. The sentiment is from Verve Stamp which is also heat embossed on the Fancy Tag Three.  I added a small piece of lace behind the tag as I wanted to give a little bit of a romantic look on the card and finished it off with the pearls embellishments.

Have a good week ahead!

I am entering this card into the following challenge : Penny Black and MoreLess is MoreThe Ribbon Girls

Wedding Card

My nephew asked me if I could make a wedding card for him.  I jumped at the opportunity as making a wedding card is a rare opportunity for me.

I got this sketch from Skipping Stones Design which happen to be my first time participating too.

I didn't need to use too many stampings except for the sentiments and I hope my nephew will be happy to give it to his friend.

I am also entering this card into Ladybug Crafts Ink.

Wedding Card 4 Jenny (HA)

Initiated by Tami Hartley, Hero Arts, she has asked if we were interested to make a surprise wedding card for Jenny's wedding.   As you may have heard, Hero Hostess Jenny Cierley is getting married. She thought it would be fun to host a Flickr group virtual wedding card shower to celebrate this special day. Jenny & her fiance Jason will be married Sunday, October 10 (10.10.10…how cool is that!)
