TKJ #226

** edited : Top 3 at TKJ **

Hiya!  Here is a last minute card for The Kraft Journal by using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

Today, I am using the stamp from Crafty Individuals Vintage Vehicle.  Before stamping the image,  the background is watercoloured in distress inks Faded Jeans and Antique Linen.

As for the base card, I mixed the embossing paste with TH Faded Jeans randomly as I didn't want it to be too blue on the kraft.  I also did some doodling along the edge to fill up the page!  The sentiment is heat embossed on a vellum!

I am also popping this into Pretty Pink Post blog hop, Simon Wednesday ChallengeMod Squad Challenge and CASology.

Thanks for taking your to drop by!

Tuesday Trigger - Red & Rustic

Here is the challenge over at Tuesday Trigger.

My interpretation of it of Red and Rustic.  This is a tri-fold card which fit into a normal envelope perfectly.  The flap measures about 4cm and the middle fold is about 9cm.

I am trying to make this card for a friend across the globe although it's not so much my style but I had fun making it.  Lots of distressing with vintage photo and barn door.  The background are stamped with HA Snowflakes and Crafty Individual in black.  I wanted to highlight the silhouttes but realised that my black granules were not fine enough to stick on the versamark and remembered the tip given by Elizabeth A.  I stamped the silhoutte with Staz On black and embossed in clear powder and I achieved the effect which I wanted.  Many thanks, Elizabeth!

I finished the card by machine stitched along the edges.

Simon Says - For Men

This week's challenge at Simon Says Stamp is to create something for Men and at Stempel Studio something vintage.

This vintage car is from Crafty Individual which is stamped in jet black and paper-pieced twice.  To make the car stands out even more, I decided to stamped the steering wheel and the door and applied glossy accents.  As for the embellishment for the corner, I stamped the wheel 3 times and cut it out.
