The Card Concept #52

Yay!  It's Friday which means it's my off day.  Looking at the photo inspiration at The Card Concept, I am inspired by the music notes, the ribbon and the black/ white theme.  I am going for the Clean and Layered style.

The music background is from HA which is heat embossed in white. Then I die cut spellbinder Diamond Effect and stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti which I thought it matches well with the background notes.

Thanks for dropping by!

Color Throwdown #383

I have a quick card to share with you today by using the colour challenge over at Color Throwdown.  Love the colour combo as it gives a spring look.

For this card, I used three different stamps from PTI, Reverse Confetti and Waltzing Mouse.  This card involves masking for the top and bottom part of the card.  Then I double scored the border before stamping the sentiment from Hero Arts.

I am also popping this card into Allsorts Challenge and STAMPlorations challenge with a twist of "yellow".

I did second generation stamping with the leaves as I didn't like too much white spots in between the space

We had very nice weather over here with blue sky but still very cold.  Weather is expected to be nice throughout the week!

Reverse Confetti Feb

Hiya, sorry I have not been around much lately as I am so exhausted after work. I still make cards but I don't post them so much lately as it took up more time then I thought.

Anyway, here is a card for sketech from Reverse Confetti combined with the colour challenge fromColourQ.

The background is stamped with SU Grundge in white.  This card is more of using die cuts from Reverse Confetti Petals 'N Posies with elements such as vellum, burlap, velt and button.

Thanks for dropping by and have a good weekend!

Reverse Confetti #25

Here is my take on the sketch from Reverse Confetti by using the colour challenge from Cards in Envy.  My masculine cards are running low and I thought this is a good time to stock them up again.

I am using MFT Die-namics Chevron for the background which is run thru CB three time in white, red and blue. Then I alternated the reds' and blues' on the white piece.  A piece of vellum is machine-stitched.  The white petals are Reverse Confetti set Petal n Posies which are embossed in sparkling snow.  The sentiment is from RC set Label Me.

I would like to pop this card into Shopping Our Stash and Simon Wednesday Challenge.

We are going towards the end of the school year and it is a busy time for me with lots of activities and meetings to attend.

Thank you for taking your time to drop by.

Today's card is combining the sketch from Reverse Confetti and colour challenge from Cupcake Inspirations.

The sentiments RC Lots to Say are stamped onto a grid paper and heat embossed.  Then I use MFT Abstract Art set to stamp in different colours.  As for the second layer, I stamped RC So Stripey in unicorn on a piece of vellum.  The card is finished with a twine.

This week Lizzie Jones from PTI is showing a fun technique called Confetti Cluster stamping.  I am using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and colour challenge from Colour Me to make this card.  I am also popping this card into Addicted to Stamps.

The base card on both sides are stamped with Reverse Confetti Very Stripey.  The kraft and white cardstock are run thru Lawn Fawn square stitch.

The butterfly die cut are stamped with PTI Fancy Folk Art and machine-stitched on the border.  A piece of burlap is adhered onto the kraft cardstock followed by the stamped butterfly and a piece of vellum.  A row of sequin is added onto the middle part of the butterfly.

Seize the Birthday

Today's is my little girl's birthday and she turns 14!!  Gosh!  Time really flies! She loves playing piano and started when she was 5 years old when we were living in Helsinki - actually she wanted to start when she was 4 but the piano teacher said that her fingers were too small and it's advisable that she wait another year.  From then on she never stop playing.

As I do not have many music stamps, I decided to take her piano book and drew the notes - just don't ask me what notes are they as I can't read them at all. The notes were coloured in copics and heat embossed in clear to give the shine! The strings are from DMC cross-stitches thread which I have tons of them as I like cross-stitching years ago.

The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti which I think is a perfect way of combining the music notes - if I can meet the challenge from Time Out Challenges. I would also like to enter this card into Seize the Birthday.

This is the inside of the card whereby I used half the envelope to make into a gift card.  I decorated the envie with a piece of black cardstock and added the sentiment.  A piece of music notes is adhered onto the flap of the envie.

Thanks for dropping by and have a great weekend!

Tag You're It Challenge #1

Happy Sunday to all!  Today, I am making a tag with inspiration from the special guest designer Virginia Lu over at the challenge Tag You're It.  There are several tags which she has shared with us and one of them is by using colours block.

First, I cut out the tag and die cut the border by using spellbinder A2 Scalloped Border Two.  I decided to use watercolour on my background as her colours block inspiration. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti which is heat embossed and added some sequins onto the tag.

Have you are enjoying and weekend!

Reverse Confetti #12

After 2 weeks school holiday, I went to work yesterday and it is rather amazing to see the children has grown during those weeks.

Today's card is using the sketch from Reverse Confetti and something pink and sweet from Curtain Call Challenge.

I am using the set Very Stripey to make a shaker card.  The sentiment is from the set Blessings - Verve which is stamped with StazOn on the acetate.  I had to use my new wooden tag too!  A piece of vellum which is embossed is also added onto the background and I love my new border dies from Magnolia.

This card also enters into Verve Stamps.

Reverse Confetti - April Color Challenge

Happy Easter to all and hope you are having a relaxing day!  Weather has been lovely today and DH and me made a cycling tour of 20km.

I am using the colour challenge from Reverse Confetti and a sketch challenge from Seize the Sketch to make a card for a friend.
The background panel is embossed and machine-stitched and pearl accents are added on the lower half to differentiate the two different halves.  I used the Stripey set from Reverse Confetti which is stamped in green and die cut with MFT set which is made into a shaker.  The sentiment is from Craft Companion which is stamped and heat embossed in white on a piece of vellum.  Punched out all the little hearts in different colours.

The die cut flower is from MFT and the leaves is from SU.

Do you have any plan for tomorrow?  My in-laws are coming over and it will be a cooking day for me!  Enjoy the rest of your Easter.
