Lavendar Sachets

I was very much inspired by Jacqueline.fr's beautiful handmade sachets and also entering into this week's challenge at Wee Memories

I needed to make something special for some friends and decided to make the sachets.  This is a very straight forward project.

Firstly cut the fabric in a triangle shape and stamped them using HA Hydrangea and Manuscript in distress inks.  Once stamped, lined up the ribbon along the side and sew them leaving the top open so that I could put in the lavendar seeds. 

I am so excited to share with you that we are flying to Helsinki, Finland tomorrow for a weekend trip.  It's going to be memory lane trip as we lived there for 2.5 years in 2005.

Coffee Lover

When I saw this fabric, I knew I had to get it and am happy with what I did with it too.  I've decided to make a shopper bag.  

As I realised that international money transfer is getting very expensive, I've decided to trade this bag for some stamping products if you are interested. 

The measurements of the bag is as follows : W – 30cm; H – 33cm; D – 6cm and strap – 62cm. Please note that the opening of the bag is 22cm because of the slanted corners on both sides.

This bag has an off-white lining with a zipped pocket of 13cm and a velcro pocket of 16cm. It also comes with matching purse of about 12cm x 14cm without lining.

Denim

This week challenge at Create is "Denim".  I used a pair of old jeans and sew a little purse with the dimension of L:10cm, H:6cm, W:3cm.  Thereafter I decorated the front by using HA Asian Elements and stamped it on the opposite site of a blue fabric in three colours so that it's not too white.  This card also enter into the challenge of Wee Memories.

Woohoo!  A peep inside the bag!  It has a zipped pocket whereby you could store your valuables away safely and has an extra velcro pocket.

I'm happy to share this piece of good news with all of you that finally I've managed to sew a leather/ fabric bag which I've always wanted to do for a long time!

As you can see, I've chosen a trendy colour instead the brown/ black colour which I find it to be more playful and trendy. Besides being the normal postman bag, I've also did a new tried out on the flower where I got my inspiration from my passion of cardmaking which gives a little bit more touch then a normal leather bag!

Naturally being a fabric freek how can I miss out the fabric part which soften the look of the leather as well.

2-in-1 Handbag and Postman Bag

Gosh! It's already 21 June, the longest day of the year.  Here in Holland, we get to enjoy the daylight till 22.30 hours!  Today the sun seems to be shinning after days of raining!

I remembered when we were living in Helsinki, during the summer months it never seems to get dark at all!  When I woke up at about 2am, the sky was still bright and it was such a strange experience but special at the same time!  It was such a great experience for all of us!

During the last 7 days, I have not made any cards but bags, bags and bags!

I designed this bag as sometime I find it is more practical to have a free hands especially when I'm doing shopping or drinking so I just need to hang it over my shoulder just like a postman!

On another hand, at times I feel like being more feminine, I can carry it on my shoulder!

My mother-in-law asked me to make 2 cushion covers for her and with the leftover fabric I made her a surprised handbag as well!  Yeah!  She was pleasantly surprised!
