LIM - Little Ones

My colleague has just given birth to a baby boy and I thought it would be nice to make something from all of us to sign in.  I made a kind of an accordion style but decided to stick all the pages together to make into a booklet.

There are lots of die cuts involved in this booklet and I really enjoyed making them.

I am popping this into the following challenges : Less Is MoreStamping Sensations and Hobby Vision challenges.

A peep inside the booklet .....

Thanks for dropping by.

Deconstructed Sketch #160

Woohoo!  Finally, the school holiday has started which mean it's time for summer holiday and we will be flying off next week!!

I don't know how is your weather over at your place but gosh, it's extremely hot over here of about 32 degrees celcius - heat wave!  It's so hot that I kept on perspiring for doing so minimum - I'm melting!  I used to hide inside the house when the weather is hot but this time indoor is also hot.  It's not common to have aircon in the house over here but we are lucky to have two portable units of which one on each floor but with one unit for downstairs it could barely reach the coolness that we would like to have.

Back to card - a colleague of mine just gave birth to a baby boy and this is the card I made for her by using the sketch from  Deconstructed sketch and using Spots and Dots challenge from Simon Wednesday Challenge.

The background dots is from MFT die cut and the little bunny is coloured in watercolour.  On the corner, I used a star vellum which is paperpieced and added a sentiment which is die cut three times in different colours and added stickles.

Added the baby's name on the banner.

Have a lovely weekend!

Curtain Call - Pajama Party

**      UPDATED :
FEATURED PLAYER AT PS**
_______________________________________________

A colleague of mine is going on maternity leave soon and some of the staff are planning a baby shower party for her. Unfortunately, I will not be attending the party as I don't work on that day but decided to make something for her.

I got this idea from Pinterset and inspired by the challenge at Curtain Call challenge - love the idea of using popcorn for this gift. It took me awhile to make this popcorn box with my freehand drawing.  I had to go with the theme blue as the baby is going to be a boy!

Although, it looks simple but I just love how it turned out.  Both sentiments of diecuts and stamp are from Paper Smooches which go around the box that reads "Ready to POP" and "Especially for You".  As this week challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks is "Anything Goes", I am going to pop this into the challenge.

I put some little gifts in the box and top it up with popcorn.

thanks for dropping by.

Curtain Call - Baby Booties

Hello everyone!  I don't usually make baby's cards but I needed them this year as a couple of my collegues are pregnant.

I am trying a new stamp from Craft Companion and I thought this stamp is so adorable.

As you can see, I am crazy about using spellbinders recently and I thought of sharing another one with you today.  I made 3 times of this die cut so that they can be made into a cardstock - one for the top and two for the inner and backing side.  I am also entering this card into Stamping Sensations.

The image is stamped and heat embossed in black and coloured in distress inks with water.  I prefer to make a neutral card as I don't know if the baby would be a girl or boy.

Added some stickles on the blanket.

Inner card

Before I go off, I would like share with you that we are enjoying a lovely day today.  Thanks for dropping by.

Avery Elle Nov Challenge

I had to play with Avery Elle challenge one more time because a friend whom I got to know via blogland just got a baby boy.

A couple of months ago, when I asked her when was the expected delivery date, she mentioned that it will be mid-November.  I teased her that who knows that it might be on my birthday but she brushed it off!  Goodness!  When I received her baby announcement card, the baby was borned on November 20th!  How coincidence is that!

As I do not own any baby's stamp, I thought why not use this cute little fella to make it into a baby card.  I know that she loves kraft and adorable images so I decided to make this card for her.

Wa-lah!  Love how it turned out! Pretty direct card to make.  The only fun thing that I did here was the sentiment heat embossed in 3 different sizes of clouds.

here is how I made the cloud sentiment

Recently, I won a gift card of $25 from Craft Junction but unfortunately I did not see anything that I like so much and above that the international shipping cost is equivalent to my gift card amount!  If anyone who is interested to buy from me (which I am hoping), please let me know.  You could visit their store here www.craftjunction.com

Have a lovely weekend!

Baby Card

First of all, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all on your thoughts about yesterday.  Conclusion : many of us don't like DIGITAL!  Be positive and keep on crafting for enjoyment!

Anyway, we have a friend who is welcoming their fourth child into their family with 3 girls and now a boy.  As I am not good with making baby cards, I googled you tube and found this simple design.  Really simple to make and I added some ribbons, sequins and did some paper-piecing too.

This card enters into CAS on Sunday and All Sorts Challenge

Yesterday, when I took out my bag of carrots, I found this special carrot in it.  Now, it's up to your imagination of what it looks like.....Are you thinking what I am thinking?

Have a lovely crafting time!
