MFT Sketch Challenge #222
Hi peep! Sorry have not been around as we are having some minor renovation going in-house - replacing our fireplace. Although, I say minor but actually the whole house is in such a mess and I am literally living in the dust! Can't wait for it to be over. If only there was a choice, I would do all renovations before moving into this house!!Anyway, here is a card by using the sketch MFT card challenge. I don't usually make "Thinking of You" card but Taylored Expressions is running a Share Joy Campaign. Check out all the details here. I would like to enter this card into The Challenge.
For this card, the background is heat embossed in white by using the stamp set from PTI Background Basics-Super Stripey. Then, I watercoloured it by using TH distress ink Evergreen Bough-love the minty look. The die cut is also from PTI. The roses are from MFT Blooming Roses and the sentiment is from HA Everyday Saying and the sentiment die cut is from SSS You. Added some glitters on the roses and metalic twine.
Yay! The long weekend is here and we will be spending time cleaning the mess at home. Any plans for the long weekend!
Thank you for dropping by!

MIM #206
** EDITED : WINNER AT PTI **
This week at PTI, Danielle is sharing her ideas in creating stamped patterned papers and ways on mix and match them. Here is my attempt in using three different stamps in creating 3 patterned papers.
The base background is stamped in light grey and light blue with the set from PTI Background Basic Botanical. The tree is stamped and heat embossed from the set PTI Father Knows Best. I used watercolour for the soil and stamped the sentiment. The two banners are stamped from PTI Background Basic Botanical too. As I have never used one of the background stamp before, I am entering this card into djkardkreations:NBUS Challenge and Uniko Studio challenge.Enjoy your Friday!

The Kraft Journal #206
Today's card is taking 3 picks from the table from The Kraft Journal. I decided to choose die-cut, glitter and embossing.
The side border is by using MFT polka dots stencil with paste embossing on the kraft paper. For this card, I used SSS Thinking of You set which is heat embossed in white and coloured in colour pencil. Added some glitters and pearl accent onto the flowers. The sentiment is also from SSS You set. I am also popping this card into Simon Says Flickr and Stempel Kueche challenges.
Sigh.... need to go to work tomorrow, the weekend is too short!

SSS -Work It Wednesday
Today is the exciting match between Australian and Dutch. As the match is at 6pm, I suspected most of the dutch rushed home on time to follow the match so is my DH. He is mumbling throughout match ....so noisy! I wished I have a sound proof room at the moment! Football is not my cup of tea so I ended up making cards or catching up with blogs.
Just found out that there is a special challenge over at Simon Says Stamp by using their exclusive stamps.
I am using the SSS Thinking of You. As, I needed only one dot from the long strips I decided to cut out one dot so that I can stamped it in different colours by using the this photo inspiration from Curtain Call.
Can't resist adding the mini shaker heart-shaped and I also added glossy accent on the sentiment.

AEIHeartU Challenge #2
This morning started with a hazy day but as the day gets towards the afternoon, the sunshines.
I am making a card for a blog friend whom I have not heard for quite sometime already. The background is stamped in several colours with MFT Abstract Art. I wanted a background print on the tag and decided to use with AE set Let It Snow. The smaller piece of the cardstock is stamped with AE What's Up and Fill In the Blank Clear. Finished off with some sequins and a twine on the tag.
Inside
I had to take a close-up of this glittered heart!
I don't know why I have been baking a lot recently and this is my second attempt on the banana chocolate muffins which I got the recipe from here. We are all very happy with the end result.....
Thank you for taking time to visit me and enjoy your weekend!

Flourishes & CR84FN #56
Good Morning everyone! Guess some of you have already heard of the result of yesterday's match between the Dutch and the German team - they lost to German by 1-2!! Very very dissappointing indeed and I heard that they did not play well enough (I did not watch the game).
Today's card is a one layer card which I made for the challenges for Less Is More, CR84FN, Hero Arts and Flourishes challenges. The flourishes are from HA Die Cut Stamp Floral, the butterfly is from one of my favourite HA Antique Engravings and the sentiment is from HA Frames and Messages. The butterfly is colored with copics and color pencils as I only have a limited number of copics and finished it off with glossy accent. I am happy with the end result of these mixtures.
