Share Joy #11

It's Tic Tac Toe challenge at Share Joy Challenge. For this card, I used TE Lavender Bouquet set and chose the following elements "thank you, flower and ribbon".  I am popping this into Inspirational Challenge and AAA Cards.

Stamped and heat embossed the image in silver and coloured in copics.  The background is stamped with SU Gorgeous Grunge.  Recently, I bought this new MFT Basic Stitch Lines and I am so happy with it as I can decide on the size of the cardstock and not limited to the pre-cut size.

Somehow the silver embossing does not pop up as it's in real

TKJ #230

Today, we visited a friend who lives in the southern part of Holland and the temperature reader in the car kept in rising!  When we arrived at our destination the temperature was 37.5 degrees celcius.  I have never experience such high temperature in Holland before.

Today is also the official kick-off of Tour de France in Utrecht the 4th biggest city in Holland.  It's the 102th tour made up of 21 stages and covers a total of 3360 km.

As the school term is coming to the end, I made a couple of thank you gifts for some of the conceirge/ adminstrative staff who are usually forgotten by parents. This is one of  the few which I made and I went for a match-box suitcase design.  I am going for the colour theme "red/ white/ blue for the colour challenge at The Kraft Journal.

The sentiment die cut is from SSS.  I only die cut the letter "T" in white and the rest in red.

Put some chocolates and made a matching tag.

Thank you for taking time to visit me!

Reverse Confetti #23

Today's card is combining the sketch from Reverse Confetti and colour challenge from Cupcake Inspirations.

The sentiments RC Lots to Say are stamped onto a grid paper and heat embossed.  Then I use MFT Abstract Art set to stamp in different colours.  As for the second layer, I stamped RC So Stripey in unicorn on a piece of vellum.  The card is finished with a twine.

Thanks for taking time to drop by.

The Card Concept #27

I was drawn by the ombre inspiration from The Card Concept and immediately I thought of using the MFT Snowdrift Dies for this card.  For this card, I am using the sketch from CAS (E) this Sketch.

I had to puzzle a little with the snowdrift dies to make sure that the dies fit perfectly (not really) with each other.  The border stitched dies is from Lawn Fawn.

The heart shapes are in three layers : vellum, burlap and TH distress glitters.  I wanted to use my new SSS sentiment as it's a thank you card which is die cut in grey.

I am also entering this card into ColourQSSS FlickSSS Work It Wednesday challenges!

Weather has turned into hail since yesterday!  Yesterday, I was cycling from work and was attacked by the hail, ouch!  Luckily, it was only a short distance cycling however, towards the end of the day there was so much hail that the roads were covered in white!  Always worried for those who are cycling especially my children who needs to cycle further away.

Hope your weather is better and stay safe!

It's paper weaving technique over at PTI by Ashley C.N.  I used a few of the patterned papers, weaved and decided to make it into a tag.  Love how the tag turned out.  Then I adhered the tag onto a cream card and partial black with a border.  The flower and the sentiments are from PTI.

I am entering this card into Simon WednesdayThe Kraft Journal and A Blog Named Hero. challenges.

SS Flickr Challenge #1

Hi, I am back with another card by using the SS You stamp and die set.  Love the simplicity of the card and by using the colour challenge from SS Flickr Challenge, the sentiments are stamped in different colours.

Weather has been absolutely lovely this week.  Before I sign off, I would like to share some photos which were taken during our summer holiday in Alberta, Canada.  I know I have mentioned it before but all of us really really had an amazing time in Canada and would love to go back again!

 Amazing Lake Morraine

Athabasca Glacier - The glacier was formed since 1844.

We were very fortunate to see wild bears several times on the road

Thanks for peeping by and have a great day!

MFT Colour Palette Challenge #9

So cool that this week, I only need to work half a day as Monday was a study day and today is a special holiday in our region!  That gives me time to catch up with my card making and housework as well, as I was not feeling well the last two days.

I am using the colour challenge from MFT to make this card.  The MFT wreath is die cut in two colours and for some reason I wanted to stamp the sentiment from SSS Thinking of You onto an acetate and instead of making it into a shaker card, I just glued the sequins behind the acetate.  The three flowers are also from SSS set.

Thank you for taking time to drop by.

PTI-MIM #164

Weather seems to be improving and it's only getting better for the next few days.

A simple card to share with your today by using the tutorial from PTI-Cluster Stamped Sentiment.  So far I've always combined the technique of heat embossing with distress inks to highlight the image but this time, no distress inks are required - just clustered stamping and wa-la, the sentiment will pop-up!

The sentiment is from PS and the border die cut is from SU.  I am also entering this card into Simon Wednesday Challenge.

Have a great day!

This thank you card is a tribute to Cath of Moxie Fab World who has decided to step down from Paper Crafts.  Thank you, Cath for all the inspiration and encouragement that you have always shared with all of us.

Addicted to CAS #25

Thank you for all your concern on the last posting and I am glad that the storm is over now.

It has been a while since I last made a one layer CAS card and decided to give it a try at to Addicted to CAS challenge.

A very simple card whereby distress inks are swiped on the block and water is sprayed onto the block.  Once the surface is dry, I stamped MFT Peaceful Flowers onto the surface and heat embossed in black.  I also doodled along the box and finished it off with ribbon and white twine and added a sentiment tag with it too.
I am also entering this card into the following challenge : CAS-ual FridaysWord Art WednesdaySimon Says StampAddicted to Stamps
