TKJ #251

I have not done double stamping for quite a while and thought today is a good time to do again.  The background stamping is first stamped in HA Bubblegum followed by HA unicorn inks.  Stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of vellum.

Added the top part of the stockings with velt and transparent sequins on the stamped snowflakes.

I am popping the above card into the following challenges :
The Kraft JournalAAA Cards and Simon Wednesday Challenge.

Materials used for the above card are :
HA Snowflakes, MFT Textile Background, Socks die, Grand Holiday Greetings, Basic Stitches and Paper Smooches.

Have a good start of the weekend!

TGIF #11

Yeah!  Summer holiday has officially started and we are driving to Scandinavia countries next week.  Our first stop will be Copenhagen which is about 950km.

I am playing at TGIF and The Kraft Journal with the theme "summer".

Die cut the tag in kraft paper and stamped with HA unicorn ink with MFT Abstract Art.  The sentiment die cut is from SSS.  The adorable summer plant is from PS Perky Plants which is stamped, heat embossed, coloured and fussy cut.  Lastly, I added a tiny piece of the spellbinder Fancy Tag Three on the side of the tag.

Added some twines and sequins

Thank you for dropping by and have a good weekend!

LIM - Little Ones

My colleague has just given birth to a baby boy and I thought it would be nice to make something from all of us to sign in.  I made a kind of an accordion style but decided to stick all the pages together to make into a booklet.

There are lots of die cuts involved in this booklet and I really enjoyed making them.

I am popping this into the following challenges : Less Is MoreStamping Sensations and Hobby Vision challenges.

A peep inside the booklet .....

CMCC #55

Another masculine card by using this colour challenge from Colour Me and I hope it's masculine enough.  The stamp for the circle is from HA which is heat embossed in white and distressed in several colours.  The tv set is from PS.  The sentiment is distressed on a white cardstock with the same colours as the circle.  The banner is from MFT fishtail and the card is finished with some white sequins.  I am popping this into Paper Smooches Sparks - Anything Goes and Stempel Kueche challenges.

Can't believe it's already December and the weather is definitely getting colder over here.

Today, I made a CAS card by using the alpha dies and stamp from PS.  The alpha is die cut onto a glittered paper several times.  As for the background, I added some clear sequins on it.

This card goes into Paper SmoochesAddicted to StampsSSS Wednesday and Uniko Studio challenges.

Make The Day Special - November

Weather has been really grey for the last few days and temperature is dropping as well and I just turned a year younger yesterday!

I am making another tall and skinny card for Make The Day Special Cards by using this colour inspiration.

I am so happy that the stencil from SSS has finally arrived and I am putting it on use on this card by applying glittered paste as the background.  The glitters really stands out on the red cardstock.

Basically, I am CASing myself from this card as I just love how the shaker baubles turned out.  However, this time I added some snow drift die cuts.  The stamped images are from PS which I put it a little slanted, the snowflakes and sentiments are from HA.  I am also popping this card into Simon Says Flickr Challenge.

Thanks for dropping by and have a good Friday!

Kraft Journal #197

Tall and Skinny is the challenge over at The Kraft Journal and I am going for clean and simple design.  This card measures 20cm x 10cm and I decided to go natural woodgrain for the background which is inspired by the photo at Time Out Challenge.

As I didn't want the woodgrain to stand out too much, I stamped the MFT Woodgrain in Toffee Crunch.

The baubles are of 3 different sizes and two are stamped on the acetate and one on kraft cardstock just to give a different variation.  Added some sequins in the baubles to turn them into shakers!

I am entering this card into the following challenges : The Card ConceptThe Kraft JournalTime Out ChallengeHero Arts Holiday Challenge and Stamping Sensations.

Stamped sentiment on acetate

PS 5-11 Oct Anything Goes

"Anything Goes" at Paper Smooches Sparks and Addicted to Stamps.  I am using my SU thinlits flip flop again for this card.

The cute little snowmen are from PS Freezy Fellas which are heat embossed and
coloured in.   Added some stickles on the cute little gloves. The background stamp is HA Magical Background (have not done background embossing for a while) which is heat embossed in sparkly snowflakes and thin strips of glittered red are added on the top and bottom borders.

I cut a piece of felt as the snow layer for the little fellas and also added a peeping fellas on the background.  The sentiment on the other side from also from HA.

Thanks for your visit and have a craft day.

PS 7-13 September

My initial plan was to make something quick for my niece's birthday but I ended doing something extra for her.

I started with this quick and easy gift card by using a piece of envelope which is converted into a gift card.  You can check it out here - it's quick addictive.

As I am not very good in using patterned paper, I usually ended up stamping the background and this one is from MFT. The cute little flower is from PS Perky Plant which is heat embossed and coloured in.

I am popping this into Make The Day Special challenge as I am using their sketch as well and Stamplorations.  Since I made the gift box by using the envelope punch board, I am entering this project into SU-per challenges.

 Inside of the envelope

I wanted to leave the white embossed empty but changed my mind as I wanted to use all the mini stamps which filled up the space a little.

Then, I decided to add something extra to the gift card.  I made a matching gift box as well with envelope punch board.  Did some paper-piercing as well on the plant.

Back of the gift box - nothing is wasted

Wah-lah!  The matching gift set!
Thanks for your sweet comments!

Make the Day Special Challenge #4

Over at Make the Day Special challenge there is an interesting challenge which is to case one of our very own card from the first year of card making.  Never did I thought that casing my own card was so difficult. I am also entering this card into Paper Smooches Sparks challenge and Simon Wednesday Challenge.

This is the card which I decided to case after browing several cards.  As the previous card, I am using acetate as my background which is stamped with white stazOn by using MFT Darling Dots.  The darling snowmen are from Paper Smooches Freezy Fellas which is heat embossed and cut with the wise dies.  So happy that there is a matching dies which make life so much easier.  Did some colouring and added a twine and some sequins.

Added some sequin buttons

Stamping Royaly #236

One more week before our summer holiday starts and I am really looking forward to it as all the students are so tired that they tend to mis-behave or just refuse to listen.

Usually, I like to give some of my cards as a gift to someone but this time I thought, instead of giving ready made cards, I decided to pre-cut and pre-stamp them.  This is to allow the recipient to be able to assemble the cards themselves so that they have the feeling that they made the card themselves.

Today, I am using the retired SU Best Blossoms for this project.  First, I made a goodie bag from kraft wrapping paper and stamped it.  I would like to enter this project into Stampin Royalty challenge.

As for the "to make"card, I also used the same set but giving two options for the sentiment.

Second card is simply stamping everything is red.

I wonder if anyone of you encounter problem with your pc/ laptop that it is running very slow for exmple when I open a page, it takes quite a while.  I had this problem two/ three years ago already and I thought it was because it was time to upgrade our laptop.  But it proved to be wrong because with our new laptop (only one year old) this problem still persist after several months.  Any advise on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for dropping by and have a good day!

Curtain Call - Pajama Party

**      UPDATED :
FEATURED PLAYER AT PS**
_______________________________________________

A colleague of mine is going on maternity leave soon and some of the staff are planning a baby shower party for her. Unfortunately, I will not be attending the party as I don't work on that day but decided to make something for her.

I got this idea from Pinterset and inspired by the challenge at Curtain Call challenge - love the idea of using popcorn for this gift. It took me awhile to make this popcorn box with my freehand drawing.  I had to go with the theme blue as the baby is going to be a boy!

Although, it looks simple but I just love how it turned out.  Both sentiments of diecuts and stamp are from Paper Smooches which go around the box that reads "Ready to POP" and "Especially for You".  As this week challenge at Paper Smooches Sparks is "Anything Goes", I am going to pop this into the challenge.

I put some little gifts in the box and top it up with popcorn.

PTI-MIM #164

Weather seems to be improving and it's only getting better for the next few days.

A simple card to share with your today by using the tutorial from PTI-Cluster Stamped Sentiment.  So far I've always combined the technique of heat embossing with distress inks to highlight the image but this time, no distress inks are required - just clustered stamping and wa-la, the sentiment will pop-up!

The sentiment is from PS and the border die cut is from SU.  I am also entering this card into Simon Wednesday Challenge.

Have a great day!

PS - 4-10 May Anything Goes

It's Anything Goes at Paper Smooches Sparks this week.  I decided to pull out my PS Boobs Tubes and wise dies Birthday Words for this card.  Stamped the tv
on cardstock and one on the edge which is the challenge at Addicted to CAS.

The background is from The Alley Way Background Check.  Added some glossy accents on the dots and the sentiment.

I like to use my scraps as much as possible and decided to decorate this on the inside card.

For those who are celebrating Mother's Day tomorrow, wishing you a lovely day and a big hug from me to you!
