AEIHeart U #15

Happy Sunday to all! My daughter, Claire and I would like thank all of your sweet wishes for her 14th birthday.

A friend of mine needed a new home card and immediately I thought of using the Avery Elle Fill-in-the-Blank die cut.  The die cut is cut into several colours which I used the colour challenge from Colour Throwdown.  As I wanted some skyline onto the card, I stacked up a few of the houses into a high rise building accompanied by some colourful houses.  The background embossing is from SU.

The sentiment is die cut several times in orange and top up with white to give an orange shade to the whole.

Have a great Sunday!

AEI #4

One more day and it's weekend.   Do you have any plan for this weekend?  As for me, I need to catch up with my beauty sleep as I feel so tired and also with tons of ironing that needed to be done!

Today, I am sharing a card at AEI Heart U Watercolour Challenge.  I stamped the set Let It Snow and heat embossed in white and water colour it.  The little house is from the set Icon Fill In the Blank and a burlap is adhered onto the cardstock.  The edges are paperpieced.

Enjoy your evening!

French Window

I was very much inspired by the french windows which prompted me to make this card - ok it's not 100% french but I tried to.

The background stamp is from HA Slanted Tree which is heat embossed in white .  Then I distressed the white cardstock in broken china and faded jeans.  Size of the window frame is about 5,5cm x 7cm.  The window is also heat embossed in white with HA Woodgrain.  I felt that the frame was a little too empty and decided to add the "lock" on it.  To add a little more touch to the window, I decided to hang the sentiment with some twine which I received from Emily L.

Lastly, I added some embellishment randomly on the tree.

Window Frame

I was particular inspired by HA Flickr Group, Nancy Ljk with her panels card that I had to try it myself.  The white panels and the window frames are white embossed with the HA Woodgrain.  The view outside the window is from HA Slanted Tree which is stamped in black and with some glitters on the flowers.  The bird house and the little birdie is from HA Whoo Loves You and the cutleries are from HA Kiss the Cook.

The striped ribbons comes handy now as the curtains.

New Home

Thank you blogger that I'm able to upload the pictures again....

A friend mine who has been living here for 5 years will be moving to UK whereby she will settle down with her english husband and their 2 year old son.  Although I am caught with a bug flu this week,  I had to meet her for the last time which I've no regret although I was very tired with lots of body ache and headache thereafter.

I made this card last week already (thank goodness as I was too tired to make any this week).  I wish her all the best in her new country home and wish her well in her transition period.

This is an easel card and the stamp is from HA Home.  The door is stamped on a white and bordeaux cardstock.  I put a cellephone tape on the window of the white door to give a glass effect and paperpieced the bordeaux on the white door.  I also put their house number and applied glossy accent on the door.  Once the door is opened, I stamped the word "Hello"!

This card enters into the current submission of Gallery Idol 2011
