Gold Embossed

This is the sketch for this week at Card Patterns and combining the color challenge at CR84FN.

Here is what I came up with for this week.  Using kraft as the base and I stamped the HA Woodgrain on the second layer of kraft and heat embossed it in gold powder.  The arrow shape piece is clear embossed with HA Antique Engraving and the dragonfly and bird are gold embossed.

The flower is handmade from white tissue paper which was stamped in yellow with HA Manuscript stamp and lightly distressed on the edges of the flower to give the creamy look.  I used to make flowers from tissue papers during my primary school days.

This card also enters into the following challenges :

Handmade Tissue Paper Flower

Ooops!  This is my third posting of the day.  I promised this will be the last one of the day.  Please scroll down for more postings of the day!

Over at Moxie Fab World's challenge is to create something from Tissue Papers and at Penny Black is to create something Bold and Bright.  Just-Add-Ink's theme for this week is "Just Add Flower".

I remembered when I was at primary school, I made lots of carnation flowers using colorful tissue papers.  When Moxie Fab World announced on this challenge, I had to make this carnation flower again.  It's very easy to make.

For the card, I used PB Delicate Pattern which is heat embossed in white and distressed it with broken china and peeled paint.  I put the pearled accent randomly on the card and cut a separate small piece of paper whereby I stamped the sentiment and put my handmade carnation flower which was distressed lightly on the edges with the same colours as the card.

Acetate Tri-Fold

Here is my favourite tri-fold card again but this time, I combined acetate with my project.  Just love the way it turned out.

Using the stamp from PB- Flower Gallery, I stamped the acetate with white staz-on ink.  The cardstock is also stamped inside out with the same image but I've white embossed the inner part and clear embossed on the outer part.  This is the first time that I handmade this flower and pretty pleased with result.  The message part is distressed in worn lipstick.

This card enters the following challenges : Penny Black, Ladybug Crafts Ink, Incy Wincy Designs, All Sorts Challenge, Penny b Friends Saturday, Dutch Dare, Use it Tuesday
