PS Challenge 20-26 May

It's cool challenge time over at Paper Smooches Sparks and this week's story is inspired by the colour story "Nautical".

When I read the word "Nautical", I had to think of boats.  Have you tried incorporating origami into your card?  It sure give you a 3D image.  I made an origami boat and a pin wheel to go with this card.  You can find the tutorial here.

First the pin wheel is stamped with sentiment from Cutesaurus and used a tooth pick as the pole. I thought it was fun to put a dino on the boat..  I also used the PS alphabet die cuts on boat.

It seems that we are still in the winter weather although we are going towards June already.

Thank you for dropping by and have a lovely day.

Patterned Paper

We had such a mild winter in December and January that all of us were prepared for the spring temperature already.  With a sudden change of weather, Holland in fact the whole of Europe are hit with winter since last week!  There is an extreme cold over at the eastern Europe that many died because of the cold.  Over here, sudden drop of temperature to about -8 degrees celcius caught many of us by surprise.  At this moment while I am writing this post, it's snowing and I heard it's going to be 6cm snow fall today.

Most of our January/ February flowers buds are visible already and just two weeks ago, I saw a row of narcis.  I hope that they will survive the sudden freeze.

Anyway, here is a challenge from Lily Pad by using pattern papers.  With lots of intricate foldings, I came up with a dress and a pair of shoes and no stamping today!

This card also enters into the following challenge : DYSU

I know that I've been absent from the blogland and I do not know why myself.  I hope my mojo will pick up again and thank you so much for dropping by!  Have a lovely weekend!

Origami Dress

It has been such a long time since I made paper origami until there is a challenge from Incy Wincy Designs with the theme "Fold" and Wee Memories using pattern papers.  Instead of making foldings of the card, I decided to make origami.

Because of the sizes of the dress especially the pair of shoes, it was not easy to make the intricate folds - I had to force the fold to make sure that they stay in shape!!  Since I used the Burberry papers I thought I should add a little bit of elegance to the dress and shoes with some pearls!!
