Simon Monday Challenge

Has it ever occurred to you that when you wanted to make something, that something just doesn't work out!  Yesterday, I wanted to make a card but it just didn't work out as planned.

Today, I wanted to make something of spring related card whereby butterflies and flowers to be in the pictures, I found some scraps which I made ages ago but they were failure. OK, now it came in handy as I used them for my butterflies and tulips die cuts.  They were originally coloured in watercolour but somehow I didn't like them then.

The background is distressed in several colours. HA unicorn ink is lightly pressed with a sponge on a TH stencil and I wanted to use HA Manuscript stamp on the background too.  Then I applied paste on honeycomb stencil randomly.

I am popping this card into the following challenges : Simon Monday Challenge and Craft Stamper.

Have a good Sunday and thank you for dropping by!

STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday #42

This is my second posting of the day.  Just found out that there is a Stencil linky party over at STAMPlorations and it's closing in 13 hours' time.  Here is my card for today's party.

The stencil which I used today is a butterfly stencil from Imagination Craft. Instead of using modeling paste, I used watercolour for this project.  The colours which I used are from TH distress inks : mustard seed, peel paint and peacock feathers.  The quote is from Kaisercraft Blue Ray which I stamped and heat embossed in a piece of torn vellum - there are a number of quotes from Blue Ray which I love.

Thank you for dropping by again!

When I first saw this card made by Jennifer McGuire I fell in love with it immedietely and I knew that I had to make it.  Yeah!  Finally, I got the time to make it and I just love the softness, the feminism  and most of all the simplicity of it!

The stamp which I used is from PB Divine which is stamped in black and watercoloured.  The vellum part is heat embossed in white.

I am popping this card into the following challenges :Curtain CallCASologyInspired by all the Things and AAA cards.

Viva la Verve Sketches Apr #1

It's sketchy week at Viva la Verve.  I don't usually use patterned paper but I can't resist using this one today.

The sentiment which I use today is from the set Verve Because of You. The spellbinders for this card are labels seventeen, label ten and majestic elements. I also did a triple bow to balance up the sketch!

I am also popping this card into Simon Wednesday Challenge.

Have a fabulous weekend!

The Card Concept #52

Yay!  It's Friday which means it's my off day.  Looking at the photo inspiration at The Card Concept, I am inspired by the music notes, the ribbon and the black/ white theme.  I am going for the Clean and Layered style.

The music background is from HA which is heat embossed in white. Then I die cut spellbinder Diamond Effect and stamped the sentiment from Reverse Confetti which I thought it matches well with the background notes.
